Praise to the God of all Wisdom {Day 1}

Dear friends,

Was your day full of unexpected twists and turns, like a roller coaster that leaves your stomach in knots but excites you all the same?  Maybe it was peaceful, like a gentle stream flowing through the forest, but something left you anxious regardless?  I find that every day reminds me of my need for God's perfect wisdom.  The following passage is so comforting...

"All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him." - Colossians 2:3

There need never come a situation where I feel alone and without the help and counsel I need.  As wonderful as professional counselors, pastors, friends, and family are....nothing compares to the wisdom that is beyond our comprehension.

"Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" -Romans 11:33-34

I'm gradually learning that depending on God to direct every decision is not a weakness, it is a great strength.  It is quite contrary to the self-sufficiency promoted by our society, however.  Additionally, when the wisdom I need for a new, confusing situation does not present itself immediately, praising the God of wisdom directs my heart to wait expectantly.

"Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him." -James 1:5

Praise to the God of all Wisdom, who reigns eternally!

Bless you, friends.
