1. My Mama Had a Dancing Heart...This is a children's book I found in our classroom stash while we were packing up, and it just warmed my heart! This is the kind of mom I want to be...one who celebrates each day and finds joy in the small things. Be sure to check it out if you are lacking joy right now.
2. Heaven is for Real...My husband and I just finished reading this book together, after it was loaned to us by a parishioner. It was so encouraging to hear the true story of
a young boy whose near-death experience afforded him an insider's view into heaven. I learned a lot, had my misconceptions about heaven destroyed, and was endeared to this sweet little boy and his story. A must-read!
3. The Relentless Tenderness of Jesus...I am currently working on this book that I read several years ago. It is even better the second time around! One topic that really spoke to me was the author's suggestion that many of us do not believe that God our Father actually 'likes' or enjoys us. He delves into this topic in a very compelling way, reminding us of our need to be softened by the Grace of God, among other topics. I find myself picking this one up at every free moment. Give it a try!
